"Stein" (German for stone) documents the placing of a boundary stone between two plots of land by their owners. The first step is the measuring around the stone in a cross-like pattern. This cross is marked, then the stone to be exchanged is removed. Afterwards, the new stone is placed in the center of the cross and both owners shake hands over the stone. The agreement on the joint measurement and marking is the most important principle in every aspect of work.
